Berghain

Title

Berghain

Subject

Queer Techno Music Club

Description

Berghain is a legendary Berlin nightclub known for its hedonistic atmosphere, "made almost mythic by its selective door policy", and culture of respect and consent. A haven for techno lovers, its marathon parties stretch through the weekend, featuring world-renowned DJs. Entry is never guaranteed, as bouncers carefully assess each guest’s energy and intent, ensuring they will contribute to the club’s unique, uninhibited atmosphere.

Berghain finds its roots in the early 1990s after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It was initially established in a former power plant, which became the foundation for its industrial and raw aesthetic. The founders, Michael Teufele and Norbert Thormann, prominent DJ figures, envisioned a venue that could host music events and provide an immersive experience for partygoers.
